Fuhlsbüttel is a lively but unhurried part of Hamburg. You can stroll through Wacholderpark at your leisure, and water lovers can enjoy the idyllic Alsterpark or explore the river by rowing boat or pedalo.

Water has always played a key role in Fuhlsbüttel: the name of the former farming village comes from “ful” – dirty or marshy – and “büttel” – settlement. Those days are long gone. With its biotopes, a charming café and the Museum für Wasserkunst, Rothenburgsort shows its green, relaxed side.

Yet this district close to the city centre never stands still – ambitious plans aim to develop its potential. Everyday support isn't forgotten either. One example is our Elb-Waschcenter: from XXL washing machines and dryers to a rotary iron, we offer everything a modern self-service laundry needs. Hamburg-Hohenhorst

Hohenhorst is a harmonious yet varied district, home to people from 30 different countries. It's more diverse than you might think: the Berliner Platz shopping centre, the “Haus am See” community centre, outdoor pools and green spaces – Hohenhorst has something for everyone. If you prefer it quieter, take a walk along the meadows and allotments by the Schleemer Bach to the wide fields in the east of the district.

Hohenhorst keeps evolving, with plenty of redevelopment and new projects. A district with many facets

While the eastern part of Jenfeld, on the border with Schleswig-Holstein, is characterised by high-rise buildings, the western part is a green neighbourhood. Despite these differences, Jenfeld is anything but divided – committed residents, clubs and institutions are working hard to build a community worth living in.
